11 aircraft (9 from "A" Flight & 2 from "B" Flight) took off on GARDENING OPERATION
between the hours of 18.00 and 19.15 hours.
5 aircraft dropped their mines in the allotted positions by T.R. and D.R. fixes from heights ranging between 700 and 800 feet.
One aircraft (A/C. H.B.J.660 - Captain Sgt. McCREA) attempted to bomb a bridge over the river at
NANTES without observing any results.
One aircraft (A/C. L.B.K.307 - Captain P/O. LARKINS) bombed a concentration of searchlights at
ST.AUBIN-SUR-MERE and the lights were doused.
2 aircraft brought back 3 500lb G.P.s as no suitable target was found.
2 aircraft failed to return from operations. Wellington Mk III BK312 KO-G, 5 KIA.
0149. 9 aircraft had returned safely to base after operations.

He found an article from the Gravesend Reporter 19 December 1942 page 10.
R.A.F Sergt. Missing.
Sergt. W./AG. C. G. Parr, R.A.F. - and formerly Police War Reserve Parr of the Gravesend Borough Police - is reported "missing" on an operational Flight.
Sergt. Parr, who is 29 years of age, lived at 109, Valley-drive, Gravesend.
He joined the R.A.F. in January, 1940, and for a year before a member of the War Reserve Police. A native of Exeter, he is a married man with one child.
