T/O Marham 2324. Target Bremen, Germany.

Badly shot up by a night fighter and jettisoned the bombs at North East Polder, Holland from a height of 13,000 feet.
Back to base at 0323.

Sgt McCann was decapitated when the cannon fire from the night fighter sliced the top of his turret off.
F/O Keenan, the Signals Officer at Marham, had to recover the codes from the a/c.,
he remarked that it was a shambles inside with blood everywhere.

144 aircraft - 55 Wellingtons, 39 Halifaxes, 26 Stirlings, 24 Lancasters.
119 aircraft bombed blindly through cloud after obtaining Gee fixes. Bomber Command believed the results were successful.
Bremen records that two of the large firms hit in the recent 'Thousand' raid - the Atlas Werke and the Korff refinery -
were damaged again, as well as several smaller firms and dockside warehouses.
A hospital and an unrecorded number of houses were also hit. 7 people were killed and 80 injured.

9 aircraft - 4 Wellingtons, 2 Halifaxes, 2 Lancasters, 1 Stirling - lost.

OBR. 27th. June, 1942.
14 aircraft (7 from "A" Flight and 7 from "B" Flight) took off between 2319 and 0001 hours to attack target BREMEN,
and found visibility good above 10/10ths cloud.
13 aircraft successfully located and attacked target and bombing from a height ranging between 13000 and 17000 feet dropped
their bombs and observed some bursts and the glow of several other bursts on clouds.
2 very good fires were reported in the target area. Leaflets were dropped.
1 aircraft was forced to jettison its bombs Noerh of POLDER due to extensive damage by enemy aircraft and rear gunner killed.

0456. All the aircraft had returned safely to base after operations.
