T/O 2115. Target, enemies communications in the GUISE-CAMBRAI-HIRSON area.

Crashed near Le Havre, France.

ORB. 20/5/40. Road Targets.
21.15. Ten aircraft, five from each flight took off at intervals,
and with twelve aircraft from HONINGTON, and ten from 38 Squadron attacked
the enemies communications in the GUISE-CAMBRAI-HIRSON area.

Casualties.
P/O. MORRIS and F/S. MOORES (Wellington Mk Ic H.P.9298 KO-F - no survivors) failed to return.
F/O. GIBBES gunner, P/O. HOGG and A.C. MOIR slightly wounded by shell splinters.
(F/O. GIBBES's aircraft was hit in front and rear turrets by A.A., and both gunners wounded, but not seriously, by shrapnel.)
