A/c crashed at 2020 at Great Dunmow, Essex, killing all aboard.

The official accident card reported,
“The crew reported excessive vibration and an inability to maintain Hight.
They were forced to abandon the exercise, the aircraft crashed out of control for reasons
that could not be definitively established.
The wreckage of the aircraft was scattered and burnt.

4 Crews undertook a NIGHT "BULLSEYE" exercise, in which Lancaster II DS827 crashed at
GREAT DUNMOW in the County of ESSEX at 2020 hours - position 51.52 N. and 00.16 E.
Cause of accident unknown, but it is understood that the aircraft crashed at very high speed, burying engines in ground.
