ORB 18th July, 1944.
24 aircraft were detailed to attack AULNOYE and took off between 22.20 hours and 22.45 hours.
One aircraft failed to return from Operations - no news being received.
One aircraft (H.HK.546 Captain F/S. BRAUN, H.) was forced to abandon the sortie due to both generators
being unserviceable and returned early to Base after jettisoning safe 8 x 500lb G.P. bombs and bringing back the remainder.
One aircraft (F.HK.555 Captain F/S. MORGAN, J.) was unable to estimate the target on estimated time of arrival and
returned to Base after jettisoning his bombs safe.
The rest of the aircraft identified the target visually and by red & green indicator markers on which they bombed,
as instructed by the Master Bomber, from heights ranging between 8,000 feet and 11,000 feet.
Bombing appeared to be well concentrated in area of markers. An explosion was seen at 00.57 hours. Photographs were attempted.

02.39. 25 aircraft had returned safely to Base after Operations.
