T.R. failure and interference was reported by all the aircraft over the target.

All the aircraft attacking MAINZ successfully located the target and bombing from heights ranging between 7.000 and 9.000 feet dropped their bombs and observed many fires started which eventually merged over the whole town.
The freshman attacking target LE HAVRE jettisoned his bombs over the target after being forced down to a height of 2.500 feet by a Flak burst trowing the aircraft out of control.

There was a haze over the target and the attack was rather scattered.
Two aircraft were forced to jettison their bombs safe,
one due to engine trouble and the other due to turret trouble,
and 1 aircraft was forced to abandon the sortie owing to port engine trouble and brought back its bombs to base.

One aircraft landed at MANSTON owing to shortage of petrol.
One of the ten aircraft detailed to attack NURNBERG attacked target SAARBRÜCKEN, owing to engine trouble, and bombs were seen to burst on the target and 6 fires were observed burning on target.

A/C. Y.X.3351. (Captain W/C. COUSENS) located target NURNBERG from a height of 11.000 but was attacked by enemy Fighter and forced to jettison its bombs except one can of incendiary bombs which was brought back, the aircraft returning to base with W/T. Operator fatally injured.

A/C. J.BJ. 693. (Captain P/O. A'COURT) located target NURNBERG and bombing from a height of 10.000 feet dropped his bombs, which were seen to burst in built up area, incendiaries were still burning when the aircraft left for base.

A/C. N.BJ.663. (Captain S/L. SANDES) was forced to jettison his bombs due to port engine trouble and returned to base early.

A/C. D.X.3675. (Captain W/O. SMITH) failed to return from operations.

A/C. F.X.3447. (Captain P/O. MURPHY) successfully located target SAARBRUCKEN and dropped his bombs from a height of 12.000 feet observed them bursting on the target. Six fires were seen burning on the target.

A/C. T.Z.1607. (Captain P/O. BERRY) attacked target NURNBERG and bombing from a height of 12.000 feet dropped his bombs without observing any results owing to searchlights. aircraft crash landed due to petrol shortage caused by airscrew pith control being temporally u/s.

A/C. R.BJ.688. (Captain P/O. PAFFORD) failed to return from operations.

A/C. B.X.3464. (Captain P/O. DUFFY) failed to return from operations.

A/C. A.X.3647. (Captain Sgt. ALLEN) failed to return from operations.

A/C. C.BJ.893. (Captain P/O. SHIRES) was forced to abandon the sortie owing to airscrew trouble and returned to base early having jettisoned his bomb safe.

A/C. K.X.3445. (Captain Sgt. PATE) bombing target SAARBRUCKEN from a height of 9.500 feet dropped his bombs which were seen to burst on right bank of river, Easterly of aiming point. Fires were observed just starting.

A/C. G.X.3393. (Captain Sgt. KEITH) bombing target SAARBRUCKEN from a height of 8.500 feet dropped his bombs which were seen to burst near aiming point. Fires were observed in town.

A/C. S.Z.1574. (Captain Sgt. CRIMMIN) bombing target SAARBRUCKEN from a height of 9.000 feet dropped his bombs and observed one or two bursts. A large building South of river was seen on fire as well as many fires in town and marshalling yards.

A/C. Q.X.3718. (Captain P/O. OWEN) bombing target SAARBRUCKEN from a height of 8.000 feet dropped his bombs on bridgehead causing fires. Aircraft landed at MANSTON owing to petrol shortage.

A/C. W.BJ.842. (Captain F/L. MOORE) bombing target SAARBRUCKEN dropped his bombs which were seen to burst in town. Fires were observed on leaving for base.
