A/C. J.X.9875. (Captain Sgt. ANDERSON) failed to locate primary target and so attacked DUNKIRK and bombing from a height of 12.000 feet dropped his bombs which were observed to score hits and start fires.
The two aircraft attacking BOULOGNE bombing from heights of 10.500 and 12.500 feet dropped their bombs in target area starting fires.
2359. All the aircraft had returned safely to Base after Operations.

The two Freshmen attacking OSTEND found weather over the target fairly good and releasing their bombs from between 12.000 and 12.500 feet bombs were seen to burst across 11 and 12 docks causing a considerable fire.
The aircraft attacking BREST found visibility excellent and releasing their bombs from heights ranging between 9.800 and 14.500 feet observed bursts in dock area, but saw no other results due to smoke screen.
One aircraft was unable to locate target and so brought all bombs back.

A/C. J.X.9875. (Captain Sgt. HOLDER) attacking BREST and bombing from a height of 10.000 feet dropped his bombs without observing any results. On leaving target bursts were seen in Flak positions in area of 8 or 9 docks.

A/C. A.Z.1084. (Captain Sgt. PERRY) attacking OSTEND and bombing from a height of 12.500 feet dropped his bombs across docks 11 and 12 causing a small fire. A considerable fire was started by another aircraft just East of dock 16.

A/C. H.X.9831. (Captain Sgt. SLADE) attacking OSTEND and bombing from a height of 12.000 feet dropped his bombs in one stick East to West through break in cloud. All bombs were seen to burst but no other results were observed.

A/C. G.X.3447. (Captain S/L. HOGG) bombing from a height of 12.000 feet dropped his bombs and observed them to straddle ZWISCHERHAFEN and jetty to North. Bursts and incendiaries only were seen.

A/C. T.X.3345. (Captain P/O. RUNAGALL) bombing from a height of 13.000 feet dropped all his bombs North East to South West across line of target. No results were observed.

A/C. K.X.3392. (Captain Sgt. GEORGE) bombing from a height of 13.500 feet dropped all his bombs heading 114 degrees true just South of BAUHAFEN starting fires.

A/C. L.X.3414. (Captain Sgt. LESLIE) bombing from a height of 10.000 feet dropped his bombs which fell South West to North East across HIPPER and SCHEERHAFEN. 3 fires from other aircraft were seen in town.

A/C. W.X.3423. (Captain P/O. STOCK) bombing from a height of 12.500 feet dropped his bombs 180 degrees North of BAUHAFEN but no results were observed.

A/C. P.X.3402. (Captain Sgt. SOAMES) bombing from a height of 10.500 feet dropped his bombs across target but no results were observed except burst among several fires in town.

A/C. R.X.3393. (Captain Sgt. DAVIE) bombing from a height of 13.500 feet dropped his bombs North East to South West. Bursts were observed in centre of town. A large fire was seen on arrival.

A/C. A.Z.1084. (Captain Sgt. FAITH) bombing from a height of 11.000 feet dropped his bombs and observed bursts across docks to South East of town.

A/C. B.Z.1070. (Captain Sgt. HOLDER) bombing from a height of 9.000 feet dropped his bombs and observed them fall about 1 mile North West of BAUHAFEN near some fires already burning.

A/C. D.X.9871. (Captain Sgt. MORTON) had to jettison his bombs due to starboard engine trouble.

A.C. J.X.9875. (Captain Sgt. PERRY) bombing from a height of 13.000 feet dropped his bombs North to South across entrance on BAUHAFEN, bursts were seen and fires on leaving area.

A/C. X.X.3408. (Captain Sgt. SLADE) bombing from a height of 10.000 feet dropped his bombs on built up area North of town. No bursts were observed.

A/C. F.X.9742. (Captain Sgt. REYNOLDS) attacking EMDEN and bombing from a height of 11.000 feet dropped all his bombs South East to North West along dock 7 starting fires, one red and three white which burnt for at least 15 minutes. Possible aircraft seen to fall in flames in LENWORDEN area.

All aircraft had returned safely to Base from Operations by 0006. hours.
